How Crewenda records SMS consent

Crewenda is the service sender. SMS is limited to authenticated users associated with participating organizations, which supply workflow context but do not send independent messages. This page documents the real administrative consent-evidence workflow; it does not enroll public website visitors.

Actual workflow

  1. The organization invites a user. Account creation and Crewenda use do not require SMS.
  2. The mobile number owner receives the disclosure below and voluntarily agrees—or declines with no loss of application access.
  3. An authorized administrator selects the evidence source and checks the separate, unchecked consent attestation in the authenticated app.
  4. The server records the normalized mobile number, consent time, source, disclosure version, actor, operation, and organization in append-only evidence.
  5. Every SMS send rechecks the current number and latest consent. Changing the number requires new consent.
  6. STOP disables delivery at the provider and is recorded in Crewenda when reported. A later START/UNSTOP must be paired with a new explicit Crewenda re-enrollment record before application sends resume.

Declining SMS

The consent control stays unchecked. SMS remains off. The user can still sign in and use all application features permitted by their role.

Withdrawing consent

The user can reply STOP or ask an administrator to record an opt-out. Both paths disable Crewenda SMS and preserve history.

Privacy

Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold or shared for third-party marketing. Delivery providers process only what is needed to send and manage the messages.
